Santiago Morera is a defender for Siena. He was born on April 18, 1982 in Murphy, Argentina.
Morera’s professional career started in 2003 at Douglas Haig. The club head coach liked Santiago and believed in his potential and thus frequently put him in the starting lineup despite his lack of experience in professional football. For two years Santiago Morera played 52 matches and scored 4 goals for Douglas Haig.
In 2005 Argentine Primera División Tigre offered Santiago a good contract, which he eagerly signed in the summer of that same year. Morera began to frequently appear in the starting lineup of the club, totaling 65 matches and 1 goal in three seasons.
In 2008 Santiago’s agility attracted the attention of various European clubs, but the Italian Chievo was the most persistent and generous in terms of signing a contract with the Argentine player. The head coach began actively using the skills of Argentine striker, who in turn justified all expectations, performing confidently and reliably. After a loan spell with Cesena Morero signed a deal with Siena.
