Saša Balić is a defender of FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. He was born on 29 January 1990 in Kotor, Montenegro.
Saša began climbing the football Olympus in 2007 in the FK Bokelj academy, where he spent a couple of months and moved to the youth system of OFK Belgrade. After a year of bright performance, Balić returned to his native country becoming a trainee at OFK Grbalj. During this period of youth career, he made several appearances for the first team, earning an important experience at professional level.
In 2009 Saša Balić became of interest to Croatian side NK Inter Zaprešić. Later that year he became part of the club, joining them for the next three years. In the first season of performance for Inter, the defender managed to get in good playing form which helped him in the following two seasons.
Throughout the whole spell at Inter, Balić proved himself to be a capable and, not least, promising player of the club’s defensive line. He delivered 3 goals in 47 matches for the club. In 2012 the young Montenegrin became of interest to Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, which currently competes in the Ukrainian Premier League. Inter received an offer they could not refuse, closing the deal in the shortest time possible. In February 2012 Balić completed a move to Kryvbas.
Saša made his senior international debut playing for the Montenegro U-19 team. Later, he was capped for the U-21 squad, making 10 appearances. Since 2010 Balić has featured in 4 matches of the senior national squad.
