Sascha Mölders was born on 20 March 1985 in Essen, Germany.
In his younger days, Sascha played for the youth team of Vogelheimer SV Essen. Later he moved to a local club Atletico Essen and then to SG Essen Schönebeck. In 2000, the player began training at Schwarz-Weiß Essen.
In 2006, Sascha’s professional career took off at MSV Duisburg. A young striker became a barn burner for the club scoring 24 goals during his first season for the reserve squad and establishing himself as the top scorer in the Oberliga Nordrhein. Such terrific performances proved his worth in the first team where he played in the 2007/2008 season. But after the footballer had not scored a single goal in eleven games for the first team, he was transferred to Rot-Weiß Essen. In the third division club Mölders had his first successful season at the highest level, making 52 appearances and 42 goals.
Thanks to such good results FSV Frankfurt of the second Bundesliga took interest in Mölders, who signed the contract with the club in 2010. The forward put it in the back of the net in every third game, so soon he joined the first division with his new club Augsburg. On 6 August 2011, the player made his debut for the club and immediately scored a brace. As of May 2012, Sascha Mölders appeared on the pitch in 29 matches and scored five goals for Augsburg.
