Scott Allan is a midfielder of West Bromwich. He was born on 28 November 1991 in Glasgow, Scotland.
In 2001 Allan joined the Dundee United academy, where he spent his youth career from the beginning till the end. Scott performed for different youth teams and participated in various tournaments during nine years, but it was time to become a part of senior football.
In 2010 the player signed a contract with Dundee United, which became a crucial and dramatic moment in his life. The young midfielder realized he did not have required experience and playing practice so he would sometimes have to sit on the bench and come on the field as a substitute. However, the same year Scott went on loan to Forfar Athletic, where he spent a part of the season and found the net one time in four matches.
In January 2012, West Bromwich was about to finalize Allan’s move as the negotiations were in closing stage. They reached an agreement and the footballer penned a contract before the transfer window closing, which gave ‘The Baggies’ time to assess his skills and send him on loan if necessary. That is what eventually happened during the same transfer window, when Scott completed a move to Portsmouth on a six-month loan deal and netted one goal in 15 games during the second half of the 2011/2012 season. Later Allan went on with loan runs, joining MK Dons, Portsmouth again and Birmingham City.
From 2007 Allan has been capped for the Scotland national U-17 and U-21 teams.
