Scott Golbourne is a back of Wolverhampton Wanderers. He was born on 29 February 1988 in Bristol, England.
In 2002, Scott joined the academy of Bristol City and spent three years in the youth system of the club, which helped him to develop his skills and get ready for a senior start. In 2005, the footballer received an invitation to the main squad and accepted it without hesitation, penning his first professional contract with ‘The Robins’ in the summer the same year. Golbourne featured in 14 games for the team during his début season and left for Reading.
In 2006, the back went on loan to Wycombe Wanderers and netted one goal in 15 fixtures for the club during his spell, which was later extended till the end of the season. Scott added 19 appearances to his tally for ‘The Chairboys’ and sealed a temporary deal with Bournemouth, where he took part in five matches before completing a loan move to Oldham Athletic. After returning to his parent Reading, the footballer failed to clinch a regular place in the starting XI and featured only in two games for ‘The Royals’ by 2009.
In 2009, Exeter City secured Golbourne’s services and saw him become the pivot, who fired one goal in 104 fixtures during two years and a half.
In January 2012, the back put pen to paper of a contract with Barnsley and found the net two times in 42 matches for ‘The Tykes’.
In 2013 Goulbourne switched for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
From 2004 till 2007, Scott featured in 16 games for the England national U-17 squad and in seven games for the national U-19 team.
