Seb Hines is a defender of Middlesbrough. He was born on 29 May 1988 in Wetherby, England.
Seb started to play football in the academy of Kirk Deighton Rangers and managed to develop into a promising defender, who drew the attention of various English clubs. Middlesbrough sent its scouts to see Hines in action, and they gave a positive review, which entailed the player’s move to the new youth system soon after. Seb spent several years with ‘Smoggies’ and got ready for a professional start.
In 2006, the footballer penned his first professional contract with Middlesbrough, but was mainly used as a substitute throughout three seasons. In 2009, Hines went on loan to Derby County, but failed to come on the pitch for ‘The Rams’ during his spell. The same year, the defender sealed a loan deal with Oldham Athletic and took part in four fixtures for the temporary team during six months. After returning to his parent ‘Smoggies’, Seb took his tally to 50 matches and three goals as of January 2013.
From 2003 till 2007, the footballer was capped 17 times for the England national U-16, U-17 and U-19 squads.
