Sebastian Tyrała was born on 22 February 1988 in Racibórz, Poland. He currently plays for German side SpVgg Greuther Fürth as an attacking midfielder.
Shortly after Sebastian’s birth his family moved to Germany. There he began playing football in the youth ranks of BV Bad Sassendorf. In 1999 Tyrała joined Borussia Dortmund where he passed through all the youth levels and was named Sportsman of the year in 2004. After that Sebastian suffered a cruciate ligament tearing in his left knee and injured his medial meniscus, which kept him off the pitch for six months. The player’s full Bundesliga debut came on 22 September 2006 when Borussia Dortmund suffered an away defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach. During the following years Tyrała was mainly used in the reserve team which forced him to leave the club.
In 2010 Sebastian switched to VfL Osnabrück. In total, he earned 31 appearances for the club and found the net 4 times. The Polish played his debut game on 22 August 2010 and fired his first goal a month later. In 2011 he agreed to the contract with SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
Tyrała has represented Germany and Poland at international level. He scored 5 goals in 16 matches for the Germany U-19 national team and made 2 appearances for the Poland U-21 squad. On 14 December 2008 Sebastian received his first call-up from the Polish senior squad.
