Sebastien Frey is a goalkeeper of Bursaspor. He was born on 18 March 1980 in Thonon-les-Bains, France.
Sebastien started his professional career in 1997 when he penned a contract with Cannes. The Frenchman managed to play in 24 fixtures of the team during his first season.
In the summer 1998 Frey was noticed by Internazionale and signed a contract with Nerazzurri. Sebastian played several matches during his first season with Inter and then was loaned to Hellas Verona where he immediately became the regular keeper and took part in 30 fixtures of the team in 1999/00.
In 2001 Frey put pen to paper of a long-term contract with Parma. The Frenchman performed as a first-choice goalkeeper and managed to take part in 132 fixtures of the team during four seasons. In 2005 Frey was loaned to Fiorentina, which returned to Serie A after relegation to the lower leagues. Sebastian helped his new team to hold their ground taking part in 18 matches.
In 2006 the keeper’s credible play inspired Fiorentina’s management to sign a permanent deal with Seb. He had been performing as a regular goalkeeper for five years and took part in 157 fixtures of the team.
In 2011 Frey was already 31 and Gigliati had younger keepers who wanted to show their best skills at the disposal. After 2010/11 season the goalkeeper was offered to join Genoa and become their first-choice goalkeeper. As Seb‘s future in Fiorentina was an unclear one, he decided to join Il Grifone and began 2011/12 season a regular goalkeeper.
In 2013 Frey moved to Turkey joining Bursaspor.
Since 2004 to 2008 Sebastien Frey collected two caps for the France national team.
