Selçuk Şahin is a Turkish football midfield player currently performing for Fenerbahçe. He was born in the city of Tunceli, Turkey on January 31, 1981.
Selçuk Şahin has changed a number of clubs over his football career. He started playing at a youth club called Silifkespor and then moved to Hatayspor.
Hatayspor turned out to be the first step on the way of the footballer to a successful career and recognition of fans. He stayed with the team for approximately two years (from 1999 till 2001).
The next club Selçuk Şahin played for was called Istanbulspor, but the footballer did not stay there for a long time. He joined the club in the year of 2001, showed quite good results and in 2003 managed to departure to Fenerbahçe, one of the most famous and successful clubs in Turkey.
Selçuk Şahin is still playing for Fenerbahçe at a position of a midfielder. Moreover, he represented his national team.
Selçuk Şahin owns a number of titles and awards. He is a champion of Turkey four times over, a Türkiye Kupası (Turkish Cup) prize-winner and a double Süper Kupa (Turkish Super Cup) winner. Selçuk Şahin was also awarded with the bronze cup of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2003.
