A Bosnian footballer Semir Štilić was born on 8 October 1987 in Sarajevo.
Semir started his football career at the academy of Željezničar. In 2005, he graduated to the club’s main squad and started putting his knowledge into practice. He spent 3 years with the club, making 49 appearances and scoring 17 goals for the senior team.
In 2008, Lech Poznań scouted the midfielder. According to the terms of the contract Semir was supposed to perform as the squad’s starter. Hardly had the footballer joined the new team, when he clinched into the first XI. The head coach highly appreciated the player and gave him every chance to reveal his talent. In total, the footballer made 106 appearances and netted 18 goals.
In 2012, he transferred to Karpaty Lviv signing a long-term contract. After a brief spell with Gaziantepspor in 2013, Štilić moved to Wisla Krakow in January 2014.
In 2007, the midfielder’s international career started off, as he was invited to represent the Bosnia and Herzegovina U-21 team. The following year, the footballer became the member of the national squad.
