Sepp De Roover is a defender of NAC Breda on loan from SC Lokeren. He was born on 12 November 1984 in Geel, Belgium. The footballer is also capable of operating at the position of a right midfielder.
Sepp started to play football in local Verbroedering Geel. In 2001, the player penned a senior contract with the club and made 11 appearances during one season. The following year, De Roover transferred to Westerlo, but did not manage to come on the pitch for the new team. The defender had to face the same situation in Jong PSV, which he joined in 2003. In 2005, Sepp transferred to FC Eindhoven and finally became a regular, who made 37 appearances and netted one goal during one season.
The footballer’s performance for Rotterdam side Sparta can also be called successful, because he featured in 53 matches and found the net three times from 2006 till 2008. In 2008, De Roover sealed a deal with Groningen, where he took part in 51 fixtures and scored three goals during two years. In 2010, SC Lokeren secured the defender’s services and saw him fire one goal in 27 games. In 2012, Sepp was sent on loan to NAC Breda.
De Roover was capped four times for the Belgium national U-21 squad and two times for the full national team. Besides, he represented his native country in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
