Serdar Kesimal is a Turkish footballer currently playing as a centre back for Fenerbahçe (Turkey). He was born on January 24, 1989 in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He began to show interest in football in his childhood, when he played in local and regional football tournaments. From 2006 the young footballer played for different youth clubs, in particular Wuppertaler SV. Having stayed at the club for one year, the defender moved to another club called Köln FC.
The professional career of Serdar Kesimal started in 2008 at the same club, Köln FC. From 2009 till 2011 he performed for a Turkish club Kayserispor. His debut in the Süper Lig was made on August 29, 2009 in a match against Denizlispor. Serdar Kesimal stabbed his first goal for the team on August 24, 2010 when Kayserispor played against Ankaragücü MKE.
In 2011 the footballer joined Fenerbahçe SK, having signed a 5-year contract. Three months later he was pulled out with an injury and in December 2011 regained his place in the team. Serdar Kesimal is a number 53 defender at Fenerbahçe. His approximate transfer cost is €5 million.
