Sergey Krivets is a Belarusian footballer who currently performs for BATE Borisov. He was born on June 8, 1986 in Grodno, Belarus.
Sergey started out at Lokomotiv Minsk in 2003. He quickly established himself as a focal point of the club’s midfield. The player’s pin-point passing ability attracted the interest of BATE’s scouts and in 2006 Krivets departed from Lokomotiv, making 52 appearances and netting 15 goals.
The classy midfielder enjoyed three excellent years with BATE. On September 30, 2008 Krivets blasted a goal in the match against Juventus, which actually became the first BATE’s goal in the Champions League. He matured into one of the most effective and accomplished midfielders in the Belarusian Premier League while playing for the side from Borisov but the lure of Lech Poznań was impossible to resist. In total, Sergey bagged 28 goals in 92 matches for BATE.
His spell with the Polish club was impressive. The Belarusian international found the target 8 times in 59 games. In 2012 Jiangsu Sainty coaches set sights on the classy passing midfielder. Soon Krivets moved to China to sign a deal with the club. However, he did not become a solid player in the Chinese club and returned to his former club BATE Borisov in the summer 2013.
From 2006 to 2009 Sergey Krivets played for the Belarus U-21 team. He appeared 25 times and scored 5 goals. Since 2008 he has been part of the senior team.
