Sergey Samodin is a striker, born on 14 February 1985 in Stavropol, Russia.
Sergey’s professional career began in 2001, when he signed his 1st professional contract with FC Krasnodar-2000. In 2002, Samodin joined CSKA Moscow, the scouts of which had appreciated the young striker’s potential. For 3 and a half seasons spent at the club, Sergey took part in 14 matches.
However, the footballer didn’t waste time training hard and improving his attacking skills. In early 2006, Samodin signed for FC Spartak Nizhny Novgorod where he made 40 outings with 20 goals. This period in the professional career was a breakthrough for the striker, but he unfortunately didn’t make it again.
In 2006, Dnipro welcomed Sergey into the fold. Not having managed to impress, Samodin warmed the bench most of the time making only occasional appearances for the main squad. In 2010, the footballer continued his career as a loan player at Arsenal Kyiv where he performed for half a season, earned 20 appearances and went on to net twice.
From 2011 to 2014 Sergey Samodin played for FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. Later on he joined a Russian side Mordovia Saransk.
