Sergio Agüero is a striker of Manchester City. He was born on 2 June 1988 in Quilmes, Argentina.
His youth career began in 1997 at the Independiente academy. During six years till 2003, Sergio was one of the best young players of the club.
In 2003, Sergio was offered a contract with his parent Independiente and asked to join the first team. Agüero accepted the offer at once, because he was really jazzed and wanted to show his best qualities as a striker. From 2003 till 2006 Sergio was not key footballer, but he made 54 appearances for Independiente, scoring 23 goals.
In 2006, Sergio joined Atlético Madrid. Five years in the new team were really bright and Agüero attracted the attention of the best football clubs in the world. From 2006 till 2011 Sergio Agüero made 234 appearances and found the net 101 times.
One of the most expensive signings in the history of the Premier League was completed in 2011. Sergio transferred to Manchester City for £38 million. Nowadays Sergio is the club’s key forward. From 2011 Sergio has made over 100 appearances and scored plenty of goals for Manchester City.
From 2005 till 2008 Sergio Agüero was capped for the Argentina national U20 and U23 football teams, appearing in 12 games and making eight goals. From 2006, Sergio has been regularly invited to the Argentina national team, where he has already netted over 20 goals in around 50 matches.
