Sergio Tejera

Sergio Tejera Rodríguez currently plays for RCD Espanyol as a midfielder. He was born in 1990 in Barcelona, Spain, and at the age of 10 he joined RCD Espanyol’s youth system. In 2006, Sergio was noticed by Chelsea scout and moved to England, where he played for the reserve team.

In January 2009, Tejera was sent on loan to RCD Mallorca for the reminder of the season and after that he completed a permanent move signing a four-year contract. During his first several seasons Sergio played mostly for the reserve squad and made his first-team debut in a 2-3 loss against Real Zaragoza, when he played for 11 minutes. In 2012 Tejera moved to Espanyol, the club where he played at his youth.

The Spanish footballer was a part of the national team at U-16 and U-17 levels.
