Serhiy Kryvtsov is a center back for Shakhtar Donetsk. He was born on 15 March 1991 in Zaporizhya, Ukraine.
Serhiy is a product of Metalurh Zaporizhya youth system, which he joined in 2004 at the age of 13. In 2007 the footballer made his professional debut for Metalurh-2, after which he was transferred to the first team of the club. The defender made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League on 26 April 2008 in a home match against Arsenal Kyiv.
Kryvtsov continued to perform for the club until May 2010 when he moved to Shakhtar Donetsk. Serhiy transferred to the Miners together with his Metalurh teammate Taras Stepanenko. As part of the Donetsk club, Serhiy won two Ukrainian Championships and two Ukrainian Cups. In addition, in 2012, the defender won the Ukrainian Super Cup.
Serhiy began his international career in 2006, when he was called up to play for Ukraine U-17. In 2009 Kryvtsov won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship. After that Serhiy made 10 appearances and netted 2 goals for the Ukraine U-21 team. Since 2011 Serhiy Kryvtsov represents the senior Ukrainian side.
