Serhiy Politylo

Serhiy Politylo is a Ukrainian currently playing as a midfielder for FC Chornomorets Odesa. He was born on January 9, 1989 in Novovolynsk, Ukraine.

Serhiy Politylo began his football career in 2002 when he entered RUFK youth academy in Kyiv. In 2006 scouts from FC Chornomorets Odesa got interested in a young promising midfielder and in 2006 Politylo signed his first professional contract with the club. During first two seasons Politylo had hard times struggling for a place in the starting line-up. In 2008 he moved on loan to Dniester Ovidiopol to gain more experience there. He played 12 games and scored one goal before he returned back to Chornomorets. The main coach tried to give Serhiy as much game practice as possible. Soon the Ukrainian midfielder obtained his firm position in the starting squad and is currently one of the key elements of the club’s system.

Serhiy Politylo also has some international experience having played for the Ukraine U-17 and U-19 national teams since 2004 till 2008 gaining 23 and 19 appearances respectively. Serhiy scored his only international goal for the U-19 side.
