Shamil Asildarov is a Russian forward, born in Makhachkala on 18 May 1983.
His first club was his hometown FC Dynamo Makhachkala, where he played from 2000 to 2004. During the stay, he was once named the best goalscorer of the Second Division in 2003 with 31 goals in that season. Overall, Shamil made a total of 91 goals in 165 appearances during a four-year stint at the club.
In the 2005 season Shamil joined FC Khimki and moved to FC Kuban Krasnodar next year. He scored 18 goals in 20 appearances for the club during his short spell there. In August 2006 the forward signed a contract with FC Lokomotiv Moscow and finished third in the Russian Premier League in the 2006 season. Since 2007 till 2010, Asildarov played for Kuban Krasnodar, Terek Grozny, FC Anji Makhachkala, Luch-Energiya and FC Spartak Nalchik.
In 2010 Shamil returned to FC Terek and clinched a 2-year deal with the club. After the 2010 season Asildarov was named the second best player of the club according to the fans’ voting on the team’s official site.
In 2012 the player moved to FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod.
