Shaun Cummings is a defender of Reading. He was born on 25 February 1989 in Hammersmith, England.
In 2002 Cummings entered the academy of Chelsea, which became a true home for the footballer. He was given an opportunity to play for one of the youth teams of the club, where he started his steady and gradual development. During six years in the youth system, Shaun became a promising and capable defender, who could perform at the pro level.
Chelsea was unable to find a place for the footballer and they decided to send him on loan to Milton Keynes Dons for the 2008/2009 season so that to give a start to his senior career. Cummings managed to gain the head coach’s confidence really soon, so his main team appearances were rather frequent, as he managed to take part in 33 matches of the temporary club.
After Shaun featured in three games of West Bromwich Albion in 2009, he ended his Chelsea spell with Reading move in the summer the same year. He did not leave the club since then and made over 54 appearances for the club.
