Sigourney Bandjar is a right back born on 18 August 1984 in Paramaribo, Suriname.
Sigourney’s youth career took off after the future footballer moved to the Netherlands with his family. Bandjar started to perform for the youth team of Overmaas, but his final destination was Rotterdam side Feyenoord. The player passed all levels of the academy and earned an opportunity to get a place in the main team of the club in 2004. In the summer the same year, Sigourney penned his first senior contract with Feyenoord, but failed to make his professional début for the squad.
In 2005, the management sent the young back on a season-long loan to Excelsior, where Bandjar performed as a regular throughout the whole year. The footballer’s stunning display gave him a chance to stay with the temporary team on permanent basis. Sigourney used that chance in the summer 2006 and officially became the player of Excelsior, where he became the pivot of the defensive line and netted one goal in 115 fixtures during four years.
In the summer 2010, Eredivisie side RKC Waalwijk secured Bandjar’s services on a three-year deal. The footballer made 50 appearances for the club during three years before being released in the summer 2013. In 2014 Bandjar moved to a Kazakh side Taraz.
