Simeon Bulgaru is a defender for Volga Nizhny Novgorod. He was born on 26 May 1985 in Chişinău, Moldova.
Simeon’s professional football career started at his alma mater Zimbru Chişinău in 2003. In the early 2007 he transferred to FC Sheriff, and a year later to the Danish side FC Viborg FF. In 2010, Bulgaru signed a contract with FC Alania Vladikavkaz.
In 2003 season the footballer won the Moldovan Cup together with Zimbru. In 2007 season Bulgaru won the Moldovan championship together with Sheriff.
In the 2010/11 season Simeon reached the final round of the Russian Cup with FC Alania.
In 2013 he switched to Volga.
After Simeon joined Alania, Moldovan national team’s former head coach Gavril Balint started to invite Simeon to represent Moldova during international events. Bulgaru began performing for the national team of Moldova in 2007. On 29 May, 2010, Simeon netted his first international goal in a match against UAE.
