Simeon Jackson is a forward, born on 28 March 1987 in Kingston, Jamaica.
Simeon’s youth career took off in Sunoco FC and ASPIRE Academy and ended in Dulwich Hamlet, where he spent some time before starting to perform in professional football.
The new stage of the player’s career came in 2004, when he was offered to pen a contract with Rushden & Diamonds. Jackson was sent on loan to Raunds Town at the beginning of 2005 and took part in several matches of the temporary team. He returned to his parent club to get an opportunity to reveal his best attacking qualities, which resulted in 40 goals in 88 games during three years.
In 2008 Simeon drew the attention of various European, Asian and South American teams. Without any doubts, an offer from a European club will always be a top priority for any footballer and that is why the player thought the offer of English side Gillingham was the most suitable. From 2008 till 2010, Jackson was the key forward of the team and amassed 35 goals in 101 matches.
In the summer 2010, English side Norwich City failed to go past the Canadian footballer and made a tempting contract offer. Simeon started to perform for ‘The Canaries’ from the 2010/2011 season, made more than 70 appearances and netted 17 goals till the summer 2013. Then he joined a German side Eintracht Braunschweig. However, six months later he returned to Great Britain joining a Championship side Millwall.
From 2006 till 2008, the footballer was capped seven times for the Canada national U-20 squad. From 2009, he has been capped for Canada national team.
