Simon Cziommer is a midfielder of Vitesse. He was born on 6 November 1980 in Nordhorn, Germany.
Simon’s career took off in FC Schüttorf 09. In 2000 the footballer started to perform for Dutch side Twente, where he made 55 appearances and netted nine goals during three seasons. In 2003 Cziommer transferred to German side Schalke 04, but failed to clinch a place in the main team of the club. One year later, the management decided to send him back to Twente on loan, and the midfielder made positive display during his temporary spell.
In 2006 Simon completed a move to Roda on loan as well and fired eight goals in 15 matches for the team, which earned him an invitation to one of the strongest Dutch side clubs Alkmaar Zaanstreek.
Cziommer clinched a regular place only in his second season. However, in 2008 the midfielder was sent to Utrecht, where he featured in 24 games and went on to net two times during his temporary spell. In 2009 Red Bull Salzburg secured Simon’s services on permanent basis and saw him score 11 goals during three years. In 2012 the footballer finalized a move to Vitesse.
Cziommer was capped 12 times and contributed one goal for the Germany national U-17 squad.
