Simon Davies is a Welsh midfielder. He was born on 23 October 1979 in Haverfordwest, Wales.
In 1997 Simon signed a contract with Peterborough United after graduating from its academy. The young midfielder was almost immediately let on the pitch and took part in many games of the club, which gave him additional confidence. Simon made 65 appearances and scored six goals during three years in Peterborough United.
In 2000 Davies moved to London side Tottenham. He was lucky to be at the top of his form during five years in Spurs, where Simon developed his talent by taking part in 121 games and netting 13 goals.
In 2005 the footballer drew the attention of Everton, which was looking for a solid and skilled midfielder or winger. Simon’s candidacy perfectly suited the coaching staff and he transferred to the Liverpool side club in the summer 2005. Davies spent two years in the team, made 45 appearances and scored one goal.
In 2007 Simon’s career was given the second wind. He signed for Fulham and played for the London side club up till 2013. Davies played 167 matches and amassed 17 goals during six years in the team.
In the summer 2013 Davies retired from professional football.
From 2001 till 2010, Simon made 58 appearances and contributed six goals for the Wales national team.
