Simon Hedlund. Biography

Simon Hedlund is a midfielder who plays for Elfsborg. He was born on 1 January 1993 in Sweden. Hedlund plays in the midfield, but can also support his team in the attack.

In his teenage years Simon played for the juniors of Trollhättan. The talented youngster attracted the interest of scouts from Elfsborg, who convinced him to join the club. Hedlund played for the youth squad of Elfsborg, before signing a professional contract with the side in 2012.

The footballer made 3 appearances and scored 1 goal for the U19 squad, later being promoted to the first team. In August 2012 Simon made his senior debut in Allsvenskan. Hedlund also netted a goal in the Svenska Cupen match against Hovslätts on 11 November 2012.

In 2008 Simon Hedlund made his debut for the Sweden U17 team, where he registered 18 appearances and netted a goal. From 2010 to 2012 Hedlund was called up to the Sweden U19 outfit for 9 matches.
