Simone Padoin is a midfielder for Juventus FC. He was born on 18 July 1984 in Gemona del Friuli, Italy.
Simone’s professional career started in 2003 at Vicenza Calcio. He debuted in Serie B as a player of the starting lineup. Despite his inexperience Padoin quickly adapted and became one of the club’s key players. From 2003 to 2007 the young midfielder made 122 appearances and scored 8 goals.
In 2007 Simone signed a long-term contract with Atalanta B.C., his alma mater and the first youth club. Padoin became a key figure in the starting lineup. Starting from 2007 Simone’s experience and talent granted him a permanent spot in Atalanta starting lineup. During 5 years at the home club Simone Padoin made 151 appearances and scored 17 goals.
After the expiration of his contract with Atalanta in January 2012 the Italian midfielder signed a long-term permanent contract with Juventus. The contract terms were generous and Simone was eager to join a contender for Italian Championship and the Champions League titles. The transfer fee was estimated at €5 million.
From 2002 to 2007 Simone Padoin played for the Italian U-19 and U-21 teams. For 5 years at the youth teams he played 22 matches and netted 2 goals.
