Sinan Bolat is a Turkish goalkeeper born on 3 September 1988 in Kayseri.
Sinan was fostered in the youth system of FC Zonhoven. At the age of 17, Bolat moved to K.R.C. Genk and before the start of the 2006/07 season was promoted to the senior team. However, the footballer was warming the bench most of the time managing to make a handful of appearances. Therefore, in December 2008 he was sold to Standard Liège.
Right after signing the professional contract with the Reds, Sinan was soon named in the club’s first squad for the UEFA Cup. He debuted for the new team on 26 February 2009.
During four seasons with the Belgian outfit Bolat appeared in 97 matches. In 2013 his goalkeeping abilities attracted the scouts of Porto and Sinan joined the Portuguese champions.
However, he was soon loaned to Kayserispor and Galatasaray.
Sinan represents Turkey at international level. His first senior cap came in September 2011 in the match against Azerbaijan.
Sinan Bolat claimed the Belgian 1st Division title with Standard Liège in 2009. Moreover, the goalkeeper lifted the Belgian Cup 2011 and the Belgian Supercup 2009 with the Reds.
