A South African footballer Siyabonga Eugene Nomvethe plays as a forward for Moroka Swallows. Eugene was born on 2 December 1977 in Durban.
In 1994, Siyabonga entered the academy of Durban Cosmos and his career began. The next clubs where he performed were Claremont Blizzards, African Wanderers and Kaizer Chiefs. By the end of the 1999/2000 season, Nomvethe was awarded with the title of the Best Premier League Player.
In 2001, the forward moved to Italy, where he joined Udinese. Siyabonga didn’t succeed in becoming the head coach’s first choice, so he was decided to spend some time on loan. In 2004, the footballer had a brief spell at Salernitana and moved to another temporary club Empoli. In 2005, Siyabonga spent six months playing for Djurgården. Together with the club, the player became the winner of the Svenska Cupen.
In 2006, the player joined Orlando Pirates, where he remained until the summer 2006. In July, a move to Aalbong Boldspilklub happened. Siyabonga became the champion of the 2007/2008 Danish Superliga. In 2009, a contract was penned with Moroka Swallows.
On 6 May 1999, Nomvethe debuted on international level for the South Africa full side. He took part in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He also was the member of the team that participated in the 2005 Gold Cup and 2006 African Cup of Nations.
