Skúli Jón Friðgeirsson plays as a defender for Elfsborg. He was born on 30 July 1988 in Iceland.
Skúli started out as a professional footballer at the Icelandic side KR in 2005. Friðgeirsson was a part of the team that won the Úrvalsdeild in 2011, 3 Icelandic Cups and other trophies. During his 2005-2012 spell at the club he featured in 125 matches and scored 4 goals.
In 2012 Friðgeirsson moved to Elfsborg. Skúli is known as a versatile player, who can play the role of a centre-back, wing-back and defensive midfielder. Physical strength, intelligence and good technique are among his qualities.
From 2005 to 2011 Friðgeirsson made a total of 28 appearances and scored 5 goals for the Iceland U17, U19 and U21 teams. In 2010 he made his debut for the senior national team.
