Sol Bamba is an Ivorian centre back who was born in 1985. Sol is a product of PSG’s youth academy where he was trained from 1999 to 2004. After that the footballer sealed a deal with the Parisian club, however he wasn’t promoted to the main team and had to change the club.
From 2006 to 2011 Bamba featured for Scottish clubs Dunfermline Athletic and Hibernian. He was a regular first team player and made more than 100 appearances in the Scottish Premier League.
The 2011/2012 season Sol spent in English side Leicester City where he scored 3 goals in 52 matches.
In 2012 Bamba signed an agreement with Trabzonspor.
Since 2008 Sol Bamba has been playing for the Côte d’Ivoire national team. Côte d’Ivoire was the runner-up of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
