Son Heung-Min is a South Korean football player who represents Bayer Leverkusen. He was born on July 8, 1992 in Chuncheon, South Korea. He can play as a forward, a side striker and a right winger.
Son was studying in Dongbuk High School when his progress was noticed by Hamburger scouts. When an 18-year-old boy, he debuted in the Bundesliga in 2010. Soon he penned a contract and pledged his future to the club for the next two seasons. Due to his impressive performance Son has signed an extended contract which runs until 2014. The talented attacker is regarded as a great asset for the club and he tries his best to impress his manager. In the 2010/11 preseason match against Chelsea Son Heung-Min broke his leg but still managed to secure a winning goal. He was out of action for six weeks. On October 27, 2010 Son scored his maiden goal in the match against Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Cup.
After three successful seasons with Hamburger the Korean switched to Bayer Leverkusen in June 2013.
In 2008 the promising footballer started playing with South Korea U17 team. His brilliant performance contributed to his selection for the national team on December 24, 2010. So far he has made 15 appearances and has scored twice for South Korea.
