Sotiris Ninis is a halfback for Parma F.C. He was born on 3 April 1990 in Himara, Albania to ethnic Greek parents.
Ninis was a student at Panathinaikos football academy. After a while the young midfielder became a mainstay of Panathinaikos youth team. In December 2006 the club management signed Ninis on a 5-year professional contract. Sotiris set a record of being second youngest Greek footballer to ever play in Greek Superleague. Ninis’ personal standing at The Shamrock is 104 appearances and 11 goals. Together with Panathinaikos first squad Sotiris won Superleague Greece and Greek Cup in the 2009/10 season.
In 2012, after Ninis’ contract with the Greek club expired, he signed for Italian Parma F.C.
In the season 2013/2014 Ninis played on loan at PAOK.
Soltiris Ninis is holder of numerous individual awards, such as Greek Young Footballer of the year and many others.
Since 2008 Ninis is called up to represent Greece, with 22 appearances and 2 goals so far. In 2008 he aided his team to win silver at Euro 2008.
