Stanislav Šesták is a Slovak striker who was born in 1982. In 2000 he began playing professionally with Tatran Prešov.
In 2002 Stanislav joined Slovan Bratislava, and two years later the striker changed his club moving to Žilina. In the 2005/2006 campaign Šesták became the top goal scorer of the Slovak Championship. A year later Žilina won the Slovak Super Liga, and Stanislav became the second leading goal scorer of the championship.
The footballer’s success didn’t go unnoticed, and in 2007 he was offered to join German side Bochum on a four-year contract. In the 2010/2011 season the striker was on loan to Turkish club Ankaragücü. After his loan period ended, Šesták remained in Turkey and signed for Bursaspor.
Stanislav Šesták plays regularly for the Slovak national football team. During the qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup he became the top scorer of the team.
