Stanton Lewis is a striker of Golden Arrows. He was born on 3 August 1987 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Stanton’s youth career took off in Orlando Pirates in 1998. The footballer spent two years in the academy of the team and moved to the youth system of Wits University, where he stayed during two years as well. In 2002, Lewis joined one of the most top-flight teams of South Africa – Ajax Cape Town – and started to perform for the junior squad of ‘Urban Warriors’.
In 2005, the striker penned a professional contract with the club and found the net one time in 16 fixtures during his début season. In 2006, Amsterdam side Ajax secured Stanton’s services on a four-year deal, but the footballer failed to feature in any games for the new team during three years and was sent on loan to Ajax Cape Town in 2009. Lewis made two appearances for the club during his spell and decided to make a permanent move in 2010. In 2011, the striker went on loan to Kaizer Chiefs and fired one goal in eight matches before sealing a permanent deal with AmaZulu, where he scored four goals in 13 games during one season.
On 13 June 2012, Stanton finalized a two-year move to Golden Arrows and took part in five fixtures for the team as of December 2012.
