Thesker began playing football at TuS Wüllen. Later he bound his career with FC Schalke 04 until 2005 being a defender. In 2005 Stefan moved to FC Twente, where he displayed himself as an excellent player during evaluations games. So in 2010 he was selected for the U-23 team, thereafter Thesker was announced among the players of the Champions League squad. However, in January 2011 he was transferred to Fortuna Sittard in order to give him an opportunity of practical training, there he made fifteen appearances. Stefan debuted on the pitch on 21 January 2011, where his team suffered a defeat 0-3 to FC Dordrecht. Nevertheless, in 2012 the footballer got a good proposal from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
After having broken with FC Twente, Thesker began his career as a central defender in the German club on 2 January 2012. The choice was determined by the footballer’s good ability to head the ball, due to his solidly built constitution. Stefan has played for the reserve team in four matches, but so far he hasn’t been invited to the first team squad. The footballer has trained a few times with the first team.
As to caps, Thesker hasn’t performed for the German national youth and senior teams.
