Stuart Taylor is a goalkeeper, born on 28 November 1980 in Romford, England.
Stuart’s professional career took off in 1997, when he penned his first contract with Arsenal. The footballer spent two seasons with ‘The Gunners’ before being sent on loan to Bristol Rovers, where he performed during 1999/2000 and made only four appearances.
Taylor spent the 2000/2001 season on loan at Crystal Palace, where he took part in ten games.
After the end of his loan spell in 2001, Arsenal management decided to send the goalkeeper to Peterborough United, where he made rare appearances and featured in six matches as a main team player.
From 2001 till 2004, Stuart stayed in Arsenal, but sat on the substitutes’ bench and occasionally was let on the pitch.
From 2004 till 2005, Taylor performed on loan at Leicester City and took part in ten games of the temporary club.
In 2005 the footballer joined Aston Villa and played there till 2009. However, he was a second-choice goalkeeper of the team and made rare appearances on the pitch. In the winter 2009, Stuart was sent on loan to Cardiff City, where he featured in eight games.
After returning to his parent Aston Villa, Taylor did not stay with the club for long, because he was offered a move. The goalkeeper made 12 appearances for ‘The Villans’ during his entire spell.
From 2009, Stuart was a reserve goalkeeper of Manchester City, but he did not manage to take part in any matches of the club.
On 13 July 2012, Reading lodged a bid for the footballer and finalized a deal with him on 20 August. After a brief spell with Yeovil Town, Taylor moved to Leeds United in the summer 2014.
From 1999 till 2001, Stuart Taylor was capped 11 times for the England national U-16, U-18, U-20 and U-21 teams.
