Suk Hyun-Jun is a forward of Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli. He was born on 29 July 1991 in Chungju, South Korea.
Suk’s career took off in local Singal High School, where the footballer stayed from 2007 till 2009. After the player moved to the Netherlands with his family, he joined the academy of Amsterdam side Ajax.
Hyun-Jun showed successful performance for the youth team of the club, and the management decided to pen a contract with him, which eventually happened on 1 January 2010. One month later, the player made his début in a victory over Roda. Suk made only four appearances for ‘de Godenzonen’ during his spell with the club.
In 2011, Groningen took an interest in the forward and secured his services on a two-year deal on 27 June the same year. Hyun-Jun featured in nine games and found the net five times during the 2011/2012 season. In 2013 he switched to Portuguese side Maritimo but shortly after made another move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.
In 2009, Suk received his first call-up to the South Korea national U-20 team. The forward was capped four times and contributed one goal for the squad till he was invited to play for the senior national team. Hyun-Jun’s full international début came on 7 September 2010 in the match against Iran.
