Jesús Joaquín Fernández Sáez de la Torre is a football player from Spain, born in 1993 in Cádiz. In 2004 he joined the academy of his hometown club Cádiz and in 2010 he was offered a move to Real Madrid, Barcelona or Liverpool and chose the latest one to join. Initially he stayed at Liverpool Academy and at the end 17 he signed his first professional contract. His senior team debut came in a friendly against Borussia Mönchengladbach on 1 August 2010.
In 2010/11 and 2011/12 Suso played for the reserves. Before the start of the 2012/13 season he joined the first squad for their USA and Canada tour. In the match against Toronto he showed an impressive play and on 20 September 2012 he made his first team debut in a Europa League game versus Young Boys. Shortly after that Suso made his first Premier League debut in a 1-2 loss at Manchester United. On 19 October 2012 he penned a new deal with Liverpool.
In the season 2013/2014 Suso played on loan at Almeria.
He was called up to play for the Spain youth teams at different levels and helped the U19 team to win the UEFA European U19 Championship in 2012.
