Sven Kums is a midfielder of Zulte Waregem. He was born on 26 February 1988 in Asse, Belgium.
Sven’s youth career took off in Dilbeek Sport in early 1990s’. In 1993 the footballer moved to the academy of Anderlecht, where he trained during 13 years. In 2008 Kums completed a move to Kortrijk on a six-month loan and netted five goals in 16 games for the temporary team during that spell. The management of the club liked his performance and decided to secure the midfielder’s services on permanent basis. The signing was completed in the summer 2008 - Sven sealed a three-year deal. The footballer took part in 116 fixtures and amassed 12 goals during his spell with Kortrijk.
In 2011 Eredivisie side Heerenveen bought the player for €500,000. Kums made his début for the new club on 6 August 2011 in the match against NEC. After playing with the club successfully for two years Kums returned to Belgium and joined Zulte Waregem.
