Syarhey Karnilenka is a Belarusian striker who currently plays for Krylia Sovetov. He was born on 14 June 1983 in Vitebsk, Belarusian SSR.
Syarhey commenced his junior career at Dinamo Minsk, later signing a professional contract with Lokomotiv-96 Vitebsk. However, he left for Dinamo Minsk half a year later. From 2001 to 2003 Karnilenka registered 46 appearances and scored 23 goals for the club, before moving to Dynamo Kyiv. Syarhey spent a season at Dynamo and was transferred to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. During his 2005-2008 spell at Dnipro he netted 25 goals in 88 matches.
In 2008 the striker completed a move to the Russian side Tom. Following the successful 2008/2009 season at Tom, Karnilenka joined Zenit. However, he didn’t establish himself as a first-team regular at Zenit and was loaned out to Tom for the rest of the 2009/2010 season. Syarhey demonstrated stunning performance by scoring 11 goals in 15 games for the side.
In the summer of 2010 Karnilenka joined Rubin Kazan on a half-a-year loan, where he featured in 8 games and scored 3 goals. On 31 January 2011 the footballer was loaned to the English club Blackpool, where he played until June 2011. In the summer of 2011 Karnilenka penned a contract with Krylia Sovetov.
From 2003 to 2005 Syarhey was called up to the Belarus U21 squad for 17 matches. In 2004 he made his senior international debut. Since then, he has featured in over 50 games for the national team.
