Tan Wangsong is a Chinese football player, currently playing for Henan Jianye as a right wing-back. He was born in 1985 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. The footballer graduated from Sichuan Guancheng, where he played for the youth team, and joined the senior team in 2003. Tan Wangsong made 28 appearances and scored one goal and in 2006 moved to Qingdao Zhongneng. There he was used as a substitute, sometimes appearing on the field. In total he featured in 16 matches and then moved to Tianjin Teda in 2007, signing a three-year contract with the club. He didn’t manage to become a key player and during his stay at the club until 2010, Tan Wangsong made 43 appearances and scored twice. In February 2010, he switched to Henan Jianye, where he still plays.
From 2006 to 2008 Tan Wangsong represented the China U23 national team. All in all he earned 7 caps and scored one goal.
