Teko Modise is a South African football player who was born on 22 December 1982 in Soweto. His first football club was Coventry, while his youth career included also City Rebels and Ria Stars.
In 2001 Modise signed a contract with Ria Stars. A season later the player moved to City Pillars where he spent four years overall making 64 appearances and scoring 13 times. The next club in his career was Supersport United where the player spent one season.
In 2007 Modise sealed a deal with Orlando Pirates. A season later he won the first league top scorer award and became the favorite player of the fans. In 2008 and 2009 his exceptional skills were recognized by the Footballer of the Year award. During his four-year spell in the Pirates he made 79 appearances and netted 36 goals.
The midfielder made his debut for the national side in 2007 and since that moment played in more than 50 games.
In 2011 Modise moved to Mamelodi Sundowns.
