Thamsanqa Teyise is a South African footballer born on 12 August 1986 in Alexandria, South Africa. He currently plays as a defender for AmaZulu FC in the Premier Soccer League.

Thamsanqa began his football career playing for South African Manchester United and EC SAP Callies in the Vodacom League. In the 2010/11 season, he signed a contract with a PSL club AmaZulu where he plays till today. Teyise he made his debut in a match against Golden Arrows on 16 January 2011. His string of constantly good club performances earned Teyise a regular place in the starting lineup.
