Therry Racon is a Guadeloupan midfielder. He was born on 1 May 1984 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, France.
Therry’s professional career took off in French side Marseille in 2002, when the footballer graduated from the academy of the club and joined the main squad. However, Racon managed to make only one appearance for his team before being sent on loan to Lorient, where he clinched a regular spot and netted three goals in 28 fixtures during his spell.
After his temporary contract had expired, the midfielder transferred to Guingamp and featured in 29 games for the new club during two years. In 2007, English side Charlton Athletic lodged a tempting bid for Therry and secured his services on a three-year deal in the summer transfer window. In January 2008, the footballer went on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion and made eight appearances for the team during his spell. After returning to his parent Charlton, Racon became the pivot and took his tally to seven goals in 100 fixtures by 2011.
In 2011, the midfielder put pen to paper of a contract with Millwall, but featured only in one match for ‘The Lions’ due to an injury. After a brief spell with Portsmouth Racon was released in the summer 2013.
In the month of October Racon was offered a permanent contract with Portsmouth.
From 2011, Therry has been capped three times for the Guadeloupe national squad.
