Thiago Ribeiro is a striker who is currently playing for Santos. He was born on 24 February, 1986 in Pontes Gestal, Brazil.
Thiago’s professional career began in 2004 after he signed a professional contract with Rio Branco (SP). During the first half of the 2004/05 season the young footballer stayed in a reserve team, making only appearances and scoring 2 goals. In the second part of the season Thiago was sent on loan to Bordeaux, where he played only 7 matches.
In 2005 Thiago was purchased by São Paulo, which became the best period of his early career. Ribeiro featured in almost every game of the Brazilian club, totaling 52 appearances and 23 goals. In January 2007 Thiago joined Rentistas, but eventually didn’t play in a single match for the club.
In the summer of 2007 Ribeiro was sent on loan to Al Rayyan, where he played in 76 matches and scored 19 goals.
In 2008 Thiago returned to Brazil as he was loaned by Cruzeiro, where from 2008 to 2011 the Brazilian striker scored 48 goals in 144 appearances.
In 2011 Thiago moved to Italy. He accepted a loan contract with Cagliari, where he became a major striker. In 2012 Cagliari signed Thiago Ribeiro on a permanent basis. One year later the Brazilian returned to his homeland joining Santos.
