Thierry Doubai plays in the position of midfielder for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard. He was born on 1 July 1988 in the city of Adjamé, Côte d’Ivoire.
The player began his senior career in 2005 when he started to play professionally and signed his first contract with AS Athletique D’Adjame. Due to his talent and enormous potential Thierry was an integral member of the major team squad for two years.
In 2007 Doubai received a call-up from Swiss club BSC Young Boys. They offered him to join their club on a long-term contract. The midfielder accepted the offer and signed a contract for four years until 2011. Over a period of four years he periodically played in the major squad appearing not only as a substitute but in the starting lineup as well. During four seasons Thierry featured in 77 matches and netted 2 goals.
In 2011 the midfielder continued his career at Italian club Udinese Calcio joining the club on a five-year deal. However he did not manage to become the member of the major squad as there was a surplus of key players in the midfield line. A decision was made to send an Ivorian player out on loan so that he could gain playing practice and hone his football skills. Sochaux from Ligue 1 became an interim club for Doubai. At present he successfully represents the club on permanent basis.
In 2008 the player was once capped for the Côte d’Ivoire national team.
