South African footballer Thokozani Mshengu was born on 29 November 1985 in the city of Howick. He currently plays as midfielder for AmaZulu in the Premier Soccer League.
Thokozani started out playing football at amateur clubs Howick Lions and Argentina FC. After early professional steps at BidVest Wits and Maritzburg City, he joined PSL side Golden Arrows where he played for four seasons amassing 45 league appearances. In October 2009, Mshengu scored a goal for the team in a final 6-0 MTN8 victory over Ajax Cape Town thus winning the MTN8 title. In the 2010/11 season, the player made a fine start at Bloemfontein Celtic scoring a goal in his debut match against AmaZulu in September. In the 2012/13 campaign, Mshengu joined AmaZulu. He put it in star turn already in the second match for the side scoring a winning injury-time goal in a 2-1 victory over Moroka Swallows.
