Thomas Bruns is a midfielder of Heracles Almelo. He was born on 7 January 1992 in Wierden, Netherlands.
Thomas began to play football in a local club and managed to draw the attention of Twente scouts. In 2003, the midfielder joined the academy of ‘The Tukkers’, where he trained and performed for various youth squads during eight years, thus preparing for a senior start.
In the middle of the 2011/2012 season, the footballer unexpectedly changed his mind and sealed a four-year deal with Heracles Almelo, where he continues to perform at the position of an attacking midfielder. Bruns’s début for the club came on 9 April 2011 in the away 2-6 victory over Tilburg side Willem II. Several weeks after his first appearance, on 28 April, the footballer netted his first goal in the game versus Heerenveen, but failed to prevent his team from losing 4-2. Thomas took part in 20 fixtures and fired one goal for Heracles as of November 2012.
