Thomas Kraft is a keeper for Hertha BSC. He was born in 1988 and came through the youth teams of Sportfreunde Daaden, VfB Wissen, SG Betzdorf and Bayern Munich.
Having graduated from Bayern Munich, Kraft joined the club’s reserves and in 2008 became the first team’s third keeper. In 2010 he became the second-choice goalkeeper. Kraft made his first team debut in DFL-Supercup in 2010. His Champions League debut came in November 2010 but was a misfortune as he came on the field as a substitute, when the score was a 2-0 lead, but then missed three goals from AS Roma. In mid-2010/11 Thomas Kraft was about to become the first choice keeper as Louis van Gaal announced, but van Gaal was sacked and Kraft wasn’t given the chance.
In the summer of 2011 Kraft left Bayern Munich for Hertha BSC as a free agent.
